Ocean Ridge Development After Hurricane Florence

We hope this message finds you safe and well.

The Ocean Ridge community in Sunset Beach, North Carolina was blessed to not receive any significant damage from hurricane Florence. Ocean Ridge benefited from its high elevation at the coast – the reason for the word “Ridge” in our name. The community’s engineered storm-water drainage system worked well, and as intended. Our beautiful neighborhoods and four championship golf courses experienced fallen leaves and branches and some downed trees, but compared to other areas, we fared very well. Debris clean up around the community has already begun. Power is restored. Our roadways are clear. The sun is shining, and life is good at Ocean Ridge.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those in other parts of North and South Carolina who received more significant and extended challenges related to this storm. We’d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the first responders, linemen and community volunteers who worked diligently to support and assist.
